A Mechanical ostentation!

De Grisogono Meccanico dG

Contrary to its appearance, the Meccanico dG has no digital components. Below the more conventional analog portion of the two-timezone watch is a numerical display driven by the intricate interplay of 651 strictly mechanical components. Numbers are formed by the motion of 23 cams, which are connected to gears and a synchronization system.

To prove it, the watch's back features a transparent dial plate that affords close scrutiny of the timepiece's inner workings. Billed as the world's most complicated watch, its creation marks the 50th birthday of the Geneva-based company De Grisogono.

The Meccanico dG comes in four styles (red gold, titanium-and-gold, titanium-and-platinum and titanium-and-rubber) and is waterproof to 100 feet. It won't be easy to claim one of the mere 177 produced.

Price Tag : A mere Rs.1,10,00,000 only . Tough choice .I'd reckon ... go for the Aston Martin!

Watch is a casual thing for just showing the time. May be it'll be a bit significant since it scales the fourth dimension. Anyhow, making a watch with that complexity is not needed;if they had wanted to deploy their skills, they might have chosen something challenging. I wonder why they are putting this effort into making a watch using non-digital components. Digital components can make it simple and prove to be a cost effective one... Please dont trust these type of speculative watches.

Hey! as I mentioned its a showy display only intended to impress.....plus a mechanical engineer/watchmaker/watch connoisseur's delight...and its really challenging.Imagine replacing ur dead cheap microchips/ICs for micro gears and cams...a mechanical device that looks like an electronic one..its a real achievement indeed!Creating and shutting up such a complex contraption into such a small space is an extraordinary feat. I would say "Hats off !" to the watchmaker.
